Self-care for Those Winter Blues

When it comes to your mental health, self-care can help you manage stress, lower our risk of illness, and increase your energy. Even small acts of self-care in your daily life can have a big impact. Here are some tips from the KBB staff on ways we combat the winter blues with different self-care. 

Brianne - I use my happy light specifically in the dark months because sunlight is harder to come by. It helps keep my mood and energy elevated. 

Clare tries to get out hiking when she has the chance. It is important to spend time outdoors - specifically in the sunshine

Emali cherishes her time with girlfriends. With small kids this time is so crucial to stay balanced and feels extra essential in the winter.  

Bree loves to get outside with people that she loves and her sweet pups. 

Kara has a routine of self-care activities on Sundays. Doing a hair mask has really helped her dry brittle ends in the winter time. 

Jordyn is a bath girl. She keeps this sacred time just for herself year round. It is extra nourishing in the winter time.
