Medically Managed Weight Loss

Kara’s Beauty Barn & Drip Injection & Infusion Bar are now offering Semaglutide injectable medically managed weight loss. Recently, the FDA approved Semaglutide medication traditionally used to treat type 2 diabetes, for medical weight loss purposes.

Our Program:

• Schedule a consultation with one of our Drip Injection medical providers to see if you are eligible.

• Must present recent laboratory workup at consultation including complete/basic metabolic panel (CMP or BMP), complete blood count (CBC), and thyroid level (TSH).  This will need to be completed and resulted prior to consultation by clients own medical provider.

• If deemed eligible, client will receive education and 1 month’s supply of Semaglutide to be self-administered 1x/week.

• Monthly follow up visits are required with one of our medical providers (this can be done via telehealth) for evaluation, to address any questions, determine dosing adjustments as needed, and to purchase a new month’s supply of Semaglutide.

• Payment is due at time of service and must be received prior to obtaining monthly doses.

• Program is out of pocket and not reimbursable by insurance.

The side effects of Semaglutide are typically mild — especially when compared to the complications associated with overweight and obesity. Gastrointestinal issues are the most common complaint among people just starting Semaglutide. But you may be able to reduce the side effects by beginning on a lower dose and then slowly increasing the amount you take.

Avoid semaglutide if you have:

• History of medullary thyroid cancer

• History of gallbladder disease

• History of pancreatitis

• Multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2)
